Deborah Ann Gibson, credited as Debbie Gibson (born August 31, 1970 in Brooklyn, New York), is an American singer who was initially a teen idol appearing repeatedly on the cover of such teen magazines as Tiger Beat. In contrast to the prevalence of the name Debbie in her teen-idol phase, she showed a preference for "Deborah" even then, and her fans had, before the release of Naked, signalled a departure from that image by using this name to refer to her. When Gibson turned 16, she was signed to a recording contract by Atlantic Records, and soon she became the youngest person ever to write, record and produce a Number 1 hit, with her single Foolish Beat. Three other singles from her debut LP Out Of The Bluealso cracked the top 5 Billboard Top 100: Only In My Dreams, Out Of The Blue, and Shake Your Love. By the time Out Of The Bluewas established as a hit album, she and Tiffany, with her remake of I Think We're Alone Now, were fighting for the top position as teen queen of the United States.

Nobody’s You Lyrics

Debbie Gibson

Please dont
Go away dont
Leave me to face the crowds alone
Oh dont you know youre my home
Please stay, just one more night stay
Then if you must move on without me
Wait til my wits are about me
Deep in your heart know though Ill start anew
Nobodys you
I will always compare them always
To you, no they dont stand a chance
Theyll try poor souls but wont come close
Save me, dance close and save me
Truth be known I will not be whole
Without you here to hold
But if you must go like lovers often do
Know nobodys you
Oh if its pleasure I seek then pleasure Ill find
Ill even go so far as to say
A treasure will be mine
But, oh theres gold and then theres
Diamonds my darling
Precious and few a gem of the earth the
Magic of you
Give in, go on and give in
I am what you are to me too
A light in a dark room
Try as they do
Nobodys you
Though they move me too
Nobodys you
No, nobodys you
